Hi. This is weird and I am lost because of it. I am positive for Herpes II, so I got retested. My doctor said that I have the antibodies so I do not need medication. I interpreted that as, my body fought off the virus and I can not give it to my partner. Is this correct?

You can give it to your partner even with condoms and antivirals. There is no cure, antivirals reduce the transmission rate but doesnt cure it and 2 can live in your mouth and pass it on that way also. And you might think something isn't hsv2, innocent when it is. Sorry you will always have it till there's a cure if ever.
